About us
Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
It is an exciting and important time to be joining us at Crisis. We work with thousands of people across England, Scotland, and Wales so they can leave homelessness behind for good. We have recently adapted the way our services work to maximise our impact in ending homelessness. We have increased our capacity to work with people one to one and strengthened our ability to support those people facing the most barriers to preventing or ending their homelessness.
Location: Based in Skylight South Wales, Swansea
About the role
The Lead Worker in the Coaching Team will work with people who have varying levels of engagement with the service: some will work with you in a more planned and structured way, and some are in more complex situations and will require support from other agencies. As a Lead Worker you will support members to develop and follow a personalised plan to end their homelessness sustainably
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
You may have experience in working within a relevant sector e.g., homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol treatment, criminal justice, or modern-day slavery. You may also hold or develop one or more areas of expertise (such as housing led practice, relevant homelessness legislation, welfare benefits, landlord and tenancy law, employment support health and wellbeing mental health, drug and alcohol treatment pathways, MAPPA, MARAC, or other criminal justice services). This may enhance the effectiveness of the multi-disciplinary team’s ability to support members and engage effectively with partners.
We believe diversity is a strength, and our aim is to make sure that Crisis truly reflects the communities we serve. We are actively working towards our organisation being a place where everyone can thrive and make their best contribution to our mission of ending homelessness for good. We know that the more perspectives, voices, and experiences we can bring to this work, the better. We particularly welcome applications from people who have lived experience of homelessness, and people from all marginalised groups, communities, and backgrounds.
Working at Crisis
As a member of the team, you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:
Alongside our excellent staff benefits, we will support your ongoing development to build your skills, experience, and career.
When you join us, you will have the opportunity to join our staff diversity networks, which aim to champion issues across the organisation, enable staff to be their authentic and best selves and contribute to making Crisis a truly diverse organisation.

Amdanom ni
Crisis yw’r elusen genedlaethol ar gyfer pobl ddigartref. Rydym ni’n gwybod nad yw digartrefedd yn anochel. Rydym ni’n gwybod y gallwn ni roi diwedd arno gyda’n gilydd.
Mae’n gyfnod cyffrous a phwysig i ymuno â ni yn Crisis. Rydym ni’n gweithio gyda miloedd o bobl ledled Cymru, Lloegr a’r Alban er mwyn iddyn nhw allu gadael digartrefedd ar ôl am byth. Yn ddiweddar, rydym wedi addasu’r ffordd y mae ein gwasanaethau’n gweithio er mwyn cael yr effaith fwyaf posibl o ran rhoi diwedd ar ddigartrefedd. Rydym wedi cynyddu ein gallu i weithio gyda phobl ar sail un i un ac wedi cryfhau ein gallu i gefnogi’r bobl hynny sy’n wynebu’r rhwystrau mwyaf i atal neu roi diwedd ar eu digartrefedd.
Lleoliad: Yn gweithio o Skylight De Cymru, Abertawe
Gair am y rôl
Bydd y Gweithiwr Arweiniol yn y Tîm Coetsio yn gweithio gyda phobl sydd yn ymgysylltu â’r gwasanaeth ar lefelau amrywiol: bydd rhai yn gweithio gyda chi mewn ffordd fwy strwythuredig a chynlluniedig, tra bydd eraill mewn sefyllfaoedd mwy cymhleth a bydd angen cefnogaeth gan asiantaethau eraill. Fel Gweithiwr Arweiniol, byddwch yn cefnogi aelodau i ddatblygu a dilyn cynllun personol i roi diwedd ar eu digartrefedd mewn ffordd gynaliadwy.
Amdanoch chi
I fod yn llwyddiannus yn y rôl hon:
Mae’n bosibl bod gennych brofiad o weithio mewn sector perthnasol e.e. digartrefedd, iechyd meddwl, trin cyffuriau ac alcohol, cyfiawnder troseddol, neu gaethwasiaeth fodern. Mae’n bosibl eich bod yn meddu ar, neu wedi datblygu, un neu ragor o feysydd arbenigedd (e.e. ymarfer sy’n cael ei arwain gan dai, deddfwriaeth ddigartrefedd berthnasol, budd-daliadau lles, cyfraith landlord a thenantiaeth, cymorth cyflogaeth, iechyd meddwl, iechyd a lles, llwybrau triniaeth cyffuriau ac alcohol, MAPPA, MARAC, neu wasanaethau cyfiawnder troseddol eraill). Gall hyn wella effeithiolrwydd a gallu’r tîm amlddisgyblaethol i gefnogi aelodau ac ymgysylltu’n effeithiol â phartneriaid.
Rydym ni’n credu bod amrywiaeth yn gryfder, a’n nod yw gwneud yn siŵr bod Crisis yn wir yn adlewyrchu’r cymunedau rydym ni’n eu gwasanaethu. Rydym ni’n gweithio tuag at sicrhau bod ein sefydliad yn rhywle lle gall pawb ffynnu a chyfrannu at ein cenhadaeth o roi diwedd ar ddigartrefedd am byth. Gwyddom, po fwyaf o safbwyntiau, lleisiau a phrofiadau y gallwn eu cynnwys yn y gwaith hwn, y gorau oll. Yn benodol, rydym ni’n croesawu ceisiadau gan bobl sydd â phrofiad uniongyrchol o ddigartrefedd, a phobl o bob grŵp, cymuned a chefndir ymylol.
Gweithio yn Crisis

Pan fyddwch chi’n ymuno â ni, byddwch chi’n cael y cyfle i ymuno â’n rhwydweithiau amrywiaeth staff, sydd â'r nod o hyrwyddo materion ar draws y sefydliad, galluogi staff i fod ar eu gorau a chyfrannu at wneud Crisis yn sefydliad gwbl amrywiol.
