We are currently looking for a Leaving Care Social Worker to join Caerphilly Social Services. The contract will initially be for 3 months with a view to extend. Pay rate for this position is up to £35 per hour payrolled via an Umbrella company. This role offers hybrid working, the on site base is in Blackwood.

The team are seeking an enthusiastic social worker to assist in supporting their young people who range in age between 16 to 25. The team works with young people who are looked after, homeless and in need of accommodation as well as unaccompanied asylum seekers. The team is made up of experienced social workers who can support you in your role and support you with building strong connections to wider services to assist us in the support you provide the young people.

Required –

• Social Work Degree (or equivalent)
• Social Care Wales Registration or Social Work England (application will need to be submitted prior to start and evidence provided)
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or happy to undertake a DBS)
