Happy2Move is currently seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Removal Van Driver to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent time management skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the removal van is safe and ready for operation
- Safely load and unload clients' belongings, taking care to prevent damage during transportation
- Operate the removal van in a responsible manner, adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Plan efficient routes to and from clients' locations, considering traffic, construction, and road closures
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to established schedules for pickups and deliveries
- Provide professional and courteous customer service, addressing any client concerns or questions
- Maintain accurate records of miles driven, hours worked, and expenses incurred
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient moving process for clients
- Follow company guidelines and procedures related to safety, customer service, and overall job performance
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with appropriate class/endorsement for 3.5 tonne vehicles
- Clean driving record free of major traffic violations or accidents
- Prior experience driving removal vans or similar vehicles preferred
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Good physical fitness, able to load and unload heavy items safely
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
