Machine Operator

Founded in 1985, King Asia Foods Ltd has become one of the leading specialist oriental food manufacturers in Europe, supplying meals and components for retail, food-service and other manufacturers.

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Machine Operator to run an Injection Molding Machine and a Pot Forming Machine on our Day Shift (Monday to Friday 06.00 am to 14.00 pm).

You must have a strong understanding of Health and Safety processes and be able to meet daily targets and deadlines, as well as have an excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to the working environment.

Full Training will be given.

Key duties & Responsibilities:

• Operating the machinery used for producing packaging material
• Starting up and stopping the machine as necessary, including refilling packaging material
• Performing routine checks to ensure that the machine is in an operable state
• Carrying out preventative maintenance on the machine
• Inspecting final products
• Reporting faulty packaging or problems on the machine
• Completing all relevant documentation for the machine.
• Ensuring the workplace is kept clean and tidy
• To be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, for a motivated and ambitious approach to the role
• Responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions including the use of corrective PPE.
