Madrasah Teacher

Fussilat Academy is recruiting for multiple male and female madrasah teachers to join our Saturday onsite maktab based in Romford (East London).

About Us

Fussilat Academy, established in September 2017, is an online and onsite Islamic school (maktab) providing classes for children (5+) and adults (18+).

We have a unique approach to teaching with a focus of instilling Tarbiyah through practical and engaging lessons. We create bespoke content and provide development opportunities for students and teachers.

Day: Saturday (term time only)
Time: 09:45 to 13:30
Pay: £11.00 to £13.00 per hour (depending on education & experience) + up to 5% bonus based on achieved monthly objectives.

This role is for teachers and teaching assistants. Teaching assistants can apply for a 09:45 to 12:00 shift role.

All teachers and teaching assistants will be respobile for the development of a group of students. You will be required to teach a high level of Qur'anic education, aid memorisation and deliver basic yet engaging Islamic studies lessons.

About You

You are required to have the following:

• A good Level of Tajweed practical
• Experience in teaching Ahsanul Qawa'id (or similar) or Quran to children (minimum 6 months)
• Understanding of core basic Hanafi Fiqh
• Effectively manage a class
• Computer literate - you will update the student trackers via Google sheets.
• Able to teach age appropriate topics
• Able to travel to Warren School (Romford, East London)
• To be punctual and reliable
• To be proactive and use your initiative

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4 per week

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
