Management Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant, to prepare accounting records and systems sufficient to generate Monthly Management Accounts for our busy retail stores in Hailsham and Hove.

This position will be predominantly working from home, but you will need to be able to commute to either Hove or Hailsham on occasions.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• To prepare monthly management accounts in accordance with prescribed Neptune format
• Carry out book keeping duties
• Set up and maintain SAGE L50 Nominal Ledger
• Post all purchase invoices to ledger and reconcile P/L to supplier statements
• Post and reconcile all bank transactions using SAGE L50
• Post payroll entries and month end journals to SAGE L50
• Filing of all invoices and accounting documents

Essential skills required:

• A background of preparing Management accounts on an accruals basis in the retail sector
• Experience of Management Accounts for product oriented businesses with turnovers of between £1-£10m
• The ability to use and analyse in SAGE L50
• Strong double entry bookkeeping skills
• Excellent Excel skills

You will need to have an enquiring mind, be conscientious and accurate.

The post will require 3 full time days per week.
