Marquee Erector/Labourer

About us:

Amplitude Marquees is one of Yorkshire’s leading marquee providers. We provide marquees for weddings, parties, festivals, corporate and the military. We have been established for close to 20 years and in that time have developed a great reputation.

The role:

We are looking for people who are hardworking, punctual, honest and have a keen eye for detail. This role consist of 7am starts and can be long days. We can work up to 6 days a week but if you are looking for less shifts we can accommodate that. This can be a great role for someone looking for lots of hours over summer or just wanting to pick up some extra work. We can be really flexible.

All applicants must have the following:

• Be fluent in English
• Have the right to work in the UK
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Be fit, healthy and strong
• Ability to work as part of a team and on your own
• Steel toe cap boots
• A valid UK driving licence (if over 21)

Some other qualities we are looking for but are not essential are:

• Forklift licence
• Class 2 licence
• Electrical certification
• First aid certification
• Plant machinery certifications

Experience is preferred but not essential. All training will be provided. This is a temporary role due to the nature of our seasonal work but there is possibility of a full time role once the marquee season is over (May - October). pay will be dependent on age and experience.

The main duties of this role will be:

• Erecting and dismantling Marquees
• Driving equipment from our yard to site (If over 21)
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment
• Preparing, Loading and unloading equipment in a safe and proper manner
• clocking in and out correctly

Job Type: Freelance

Salary: £8.50-£13.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bradford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
