THE ROLE

We are looking for a uniquely creative menswear footwear designer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about creating beautiful designs and is ambitious and hungry to learn and develop further. Our footwear team has many exciting plans for the future and this really is a growth category for the brand.

As a footwear designer you will be responsible for coming up with new and interesting ideas, you’ll enjoy researching menswear footwear trends and will have a clear understanding of the AllSaints customer. You will be accountable for creating a commercial collection aligned with our AllSaints aesthetic and will collaborate closely with the wider design team to share knowledge and ideas, with an ability to inspire others and drive newness.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The menswear footwear designer will report into the head of product for footwear and will be based at our East London Studios in Shoreditch with perks and benefits offered from local businesses including discounts on food, shopping and health & beauty. Approximately a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station and a 5 minute walk from Shoreditch High Street.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

Design & Innovation:

• Design and develop aspirational and appealing collections for AllSaints
• Research the latest men’s footwear trends
• Understand the customer and deliver ranges in line with their needs
• Keep up with new footwear technology
• Understand and bring sustainable solutions to the table
• Come up new ideas and concepts
• CAD all designs for review meetings
• Ensure all boards, colour cards and presentations are completed with the given timeframe
• Technical design for briefing new units
• Seasonal trend reports
• Work with the clothing, bags and accessories teams to ensure product is aligned
• Design to the range plan as briefed by head of product
• Present the collections in internal reviews

Organisation & planning:

• Ensure that all specs are accurate, up to date, on the system and communicated clearly with all suppliers
• Understand and deliver to key dates
• Ensure all samples are briefed to factories, delivered and set up for review meetings in line with the timeframes set
• Collaborate with the junior footwear design to ensure the line-list is correct and up to date after all reviews
• Work with material suppliers to arrange seasonal reviews and selection meetings

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

• A degree in footwear or product design would have a distinct advantage
