metallurgical engineer

Due to expansion, we have an excellent role on offer for an enthusiastic, hardworking and driven individual, who wants to join an established and family owned business!

Based in Malton and covering the surrounding areas, you will undertake all aspects of domestic plumbing, including repairs, reactive repairs, maintenance and installations, first fix and second fix pipework, drainage, and installations of high standard bathrooms.

Working closely with the owner of the business, alongside another fully qualified heating & plumbing engineer, we will support you throughout your career to develop your technical skills and personal development.

The working week consists of 40 hours, 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday with possible overtime available. A Company vehicle, fuel, uniform and other essential items for the role are provided. Rate of pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running; who is driven, positive, will deliver excellent customer service, is able to work within a small team or on their own and is enthusiastic about taking on a new challenge. The ideal candidate will be motivated, smart, punctual and reliable.

Entry Requirements

· A high standard of workmanship

· NVQ Level 2 or above in plumbing

· Knowledge and/ or experience of heating systems advantageous

· Tiling skills advantageous

· Plumbing skills essential

· Any additional trade qualifications advantageous, e.g unvented cylinders, water regulations etc.

· Ability to manage van stock & parts/ materials

· A practical aptitude

· Right to work in the UK

In addition to the above, the post holder will be expected to carry out any reasonable task which falls within the scope and purpose of the post, or which the business deems is within their capabilities.
