Multi-Skilled Engineer

Department: Engineering

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: (NIGHTS) 4 on 4 off 18:00 - 06:00

Key tasks & accountabilities of the role include:

• With manager, manage workload and agree priorities.
• React quickly to all breakdown / maintenance calls.
• Maintain equipment effectively to ensure that it can be run to standard at all times.
• Ensure that detailed downtime reports are produced at all times.
• Communicate with machine operators to ensure they are aware of engineering activities at all times.
• Support shift engineers and off-line setters at all times.
• Work closely with all other departments within the business.
• To provide on-going training to necessary personnel.
• To monitor machine operation to maximise efficient running, utilising continuous improvement where required.
• To carry out preventative maintenance as per issued schedule.
• To order spare parts for breakdown response or stock replacement.
• A key player in driving forward the Company’s Health and Safety programme.

The successful applicant will have:

• Mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Professional qualification or equivalent in Engieering
• Desirable FMCG experience
• Previous experience in chilled, frozen or ambient foods would be an advantage
• A drive to succeed and develop
