Online English tutor position for Britmates, a Korean platform which connects freelance English tutors from around the globe with students in South Korea. Based in Seoul, we offer classes designed to make the virtual learning experience easy and effective for both students and tutors. Job Description:

• Teaching a wide range of students (elementary students to adults) through Zoom at scheduled hours (all classes are conducted online)

• Teaching 15- or 30-minute classes covering a variety of subjects based on students’ needs such as reading, grammar, writing, and speaking. All teaching material provided.

• Completing daily and monthly reports to track progress for students.

Requirements:

• British accent preferred but not mandatory.

• Candidates with teaching experience / license (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, etc.) HIGHLY preferred

• Tech-savvy and can manage technical issues that arise with remote teaching.

• Equipped with digital devices for remote work e.g., PC/Mac, laptops, webcam, headphones, microphones, etc.

Compensation:

• We offer 15 USD per hour with a raise to 17 USD following an interim period

• Opportunity for full-time positions following an interim period and performance assessment.

Working Hours

We are looking for teachers who can work within one of 2 positions.

First Position -- Weekdays AND Weekends (6 to 7 days)

Second Position-- Weekdays only (must choose at least 2 blocks)

Time Blocks

We are looking for teachers who can fill at least 2 of Blocks A, B, and C.

(Extra) 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM in British Standard Time (BST)

Block A: 8:00 AM – 11 AM (BST)

Block B: 11 AM – 2 PM (BST)

Block C: 2 PM – 5 PM (BST)
