We’re looking for an organised and proactive assistant to join our Operations and Managing Editorial team on a fixed-term contract basis for approximately 12 months.
About the Operations and Managing Editorial Children’s team
As part of the wider Penguin Random House Children’s division: Operations support the creative teams and processes that underpin our business, making sure that our creative colleagues are on track to get a book published in stores and online, with all the right information to market it well; Managing Editorial take our books through the copy-editing and proofreading process from manuscript to printed book, ensuring that high editorial standards are met according to schedule and within budget.
The opportunity
This role will primarily support the Editorial and Design teams, but also work closely with Marketing, Rights, Sales, Publishing Operations and Finance. It will provide an opportunity to work across the full breadth of the Children’s division and publishing, allowing you to develop a detailed understanding of how the Publishing industry works and to kick start your career in Publishing.

Our hybrid working approach

For this role, there are meetings and activities that you will need to attend in person at our offices in Embassy Gardens. What you can expect from us:
Salary: You‘ll start on £26,500. Expect a £1,000 increase on your first anniversary in this role (if the role is extended) to reflect your growing contribution.
