Position: Operations – First Line Manager
Contract Type: Permanent (Full Time)
Location: Bristol Airport BS48 2DY
Salary: £30,500
Shift Pattern: Rotational

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an Airport. You will be required to under-go Security Vetting Processes ( including a criminal record check and counter terrorism check ) if you are to be successful for this position.

DHL work in partnership with Easyjet at Bristol Airport to provide operational support and ground handling within their Fleet. No two days on our Aviation contract are the same! You will play an integral role in the cleaning operation, working to tight timeframes but delivering fantastic results.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team
• Provide effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development
• Management of the back of house operation within area of responsibility
• Report back any variances with evidence to validate this
• To build strong customer relationships, at the appropriate level
• To actively seek out information from functional departments, such as Finance and HR, to ensure their area is well run
• This role requires a strong Continuous Improvement approach

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Minimum of 1 year experience in managing a team
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Computer literate
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills.
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Requirements
• Knowledge of Basic Employment Law
• Knowledge of customs requirements
• Knowledge of Working time legislation
• Working understanding of GDP
• Driving License

SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL

• Be able to provide 5 years address history
• Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
• To obtain a full airside ID
