This is a fantastic opportunity to join the East Midlands Area Leadership Team at the Environment Agency. We are looking for two enthusiastic and inspirational people to lead our Operations Management department:
- 1 x 18-month assignment (with the potential to become permanent)
- 1 x 3-month assignment (July – September 2023)

Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring flood risk assets are operated to agreed performance standards across an operational Area and leading the Area's incident response to ensure we are prepared, planned, trained and exercised.
- Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all the workforce and that safe practice is understood and implemented.
- Planning and delivering work programmes within allocated budgets to ensure flood risk assets achieve agreed performance and environmental standards using internal and external resources to provide best value.
- Developing medium-term resource strategies and innovative efficiency plans, for the workforce, to support the delivery of work programmes, effective incident response and manpower planning.
- You'll also be expected to work closely with area and national colleagues to shape future business.
