Specsavers in Newbury (Hectors Way- located within Sainsbury’s) are looking for an Optometrist to join their team. The store is fully equipped with all the latest technology and this role offers the potential to work across two stores, the other one being in the town centre.

Our Directors, Gary, Alison and Ian collectively have over 70 years experience at our Newbury store, with many team members having been with them for over 20 years. Newbury is a small market town nestled in West Berkshire with so much going for it! By day you can enjoy Newbury’s top class race course, a visit to Highclere Castle (home of Downton Abbey), or a scenic walk/cycle on one of the many trails this town has to offer. By night you can sample food at some of the best eateries and continue the night in the town’s bars and pubs.

Newbury is extremely well connected, by both road and train, placed within an hour of London, Oxford and Bristol. The Sainsbury store is accessed from the A339.

What we’re looking for
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, we are searching for someone who shares our store’s ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team. In summary, we’re looking for a skilled resident Optometrist to join us, be part of the team and assist in driving our practice forward.
