Overhead Transmission Linesperson (Visa Sponsorship)

Skills Provision is searching for suitably trained/qualified Overhead Transmission Linesmen for a company in the United Kingdom.

These positions are ‘roaming’ based, meaning the work is not limited to one set location.

The employing company is a leading service provider to energy networks and infrastructure.

Role: Overhead Transmission Linesmen

Salary

• £21 p/h for normal hours work
• £19 p/h during Training/Refresher Training
• Paid Standby if required £69 p/d (5 days a week)

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7.30 am – 6 pm
• 12 days on, 2 days off
• Summer 26 weeks: 10 hours
• Winter 26 weeks: 9 hours

The Role

As an Overhead Transmission Linesman duties include:

• General Rigging, carrying out pre-inspection checks
• Earthing tasks
• Jumpering
• Platform erection
• Jointing
• Running conductors and earth/ground wires
• Steel assembly and erection tasks
• In-situ steelwork replacement
• Install downleads in accordance with diagrams
• Install anti-climbing devices
• Operate effectively as part of a team
• Follow relevant company policies, procedures and documentation
• Carry out other tasks as directed

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience in:

• Tower Erection
• Steelwork replacement
• Full and partial structural replacement
• Maintenance work

Steel lattice tower experience is essential

Formal qualifications (relevant) would be desirable

Valid driving UK driving license/International driving permit- If needed conversion assistance will be given

Additional:

If applying from outside of the UK applicants will need to meet the Home Office requirements for the Skilled Worker Visa, this includes:

• Pass the UKVI IELTS/Provide proof of English language proficiency
• Obtain a clear Tuberculosis test (for certain countries)
• Clean immigration history
