Terry Howell Timber and Builders Merchants are currently looking to recruit a position in our panel manufacturing department. This position has arisen in our wholesale division at our dock site in Newport

Key Responsibilities of a Transport Planner

· Daily manufacture of fence panels and fencing components

· Ensuring Quality standards are maintained

· Ensuring daily targets are achieved or exceeded

· Follow company health and safety guidelines and adhere to operational safe working practices

· Management of own working area. Housekeeping standards are maintained.

· Have basic measurement knowledge in imperial & metric

· Managing raw material min-max stock levels in own department

· Managing finished goods min-max levels

· Ability to cover for yard personnel when needed with picking/packing requirements

Ideal person for the Transport Planner Role:

• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team
• Quality focused with right first-time mentality
• Level of understanding of targets and KPI
• Basic health and safety knowledge
• Ability to problem solve
• Have basic measurement knowledge in imperial & metric
• Air tool experience desirable, but not essential
• Forklift licence desirable, but not essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.75-£11.00 per hour

• Newport, NP20 2WD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
