Pastry Chef – Chapel Restaurant

Are you passionate about food, a specialist in pastry with an aspiration to be part of a team going for Michelin stars? We are building our team for this iconic venue and are looking for dedicated, resilient and enthusiastic individuals who have a creative flair and drive for perfection to be part of our kitchen brigade. You will need to have a broad range of skills and be competent in bread, cakes and petite fours through to delivering a memorable afternoon tea and fine dining desserts with innovative texture elements. We want people who can be passionate about our core values of being creative in our approach, loyal with our relationships and memorable in our delivery as well as having a strong team ethic so that we build a place to be proud of with an experience that is truly luxury.

We are looking for someone who has hospitality and great service at their core and who can work independently to drive and develop our own exacting standards. This role will involve collaborative working across the hotel where together we share in our learning and successes in equal measures, supporting the whole team and their development.

To be successful the key qualifications and experience we need or prefer:

• Previous experience of working in pastry within a 2 rosette or above kitchen (preferably 2 years)
• Experience of working in an artisan bakery
• Strong written and verbal English
• Strong team ethics
• Demonstrable employer loyalty
• Experience of 4- and 5- star hotels (preferred)
