Pharmacy/Dispensary Assistant

Withington pharmacy is a local independent pharmacy based in the heart of Withington, Manchester. With several years of excellent community care and a manager with over 20 years of pharmacy experience within the community, we aim to provide nothing but the best service for each and every patient. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and professional person who will also help us provide the best care to our customers/ patients at all times.

Job description

Responsibilities will include:

• Dispensing duties
• Front counter service
• Stock management
• Providing patients with appropriate healthcare advice (training provided)
• any jobs requested by the manager
• If you are applying as a qualified ACPT all relevant duties

Candidates:

• must be flexible
• must be reliable and conscientious
• must have an eye for detail and have a strong work ethic
• must provide the same level of care for each and every patient
• preferably will hold prior experience within a pharmacy setting, however, it is not essential
• must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• must be able to deal with confidential information and follow set processes
• must be able to work effectively as part of a team and individually where required
• must have strong communication skills
• must be committed to self-development and life long learning
• must have strong numeracy and literacy skills - Maths and English GCSE qualifications at grade C or above or equivalent qualifications

Successful candidates will be expected to work a 35-40 hour week. Hours may be negotiated to fit the position in line with pharmacy working hours.

Please note wages are in accordance with Government minimum wages.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £4.81-£9.50 per hour
