Pharmacy Sales Assistant - Training provided

At Bacup Pharmacy we are looking to train a pharmacy dispenser, to work in a busy health-centre pharmacy. We are looking for a well motivated, patient focused, driven individual. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacist and the rest of the team in delivering great customer service, You will be required to accurately dispense items under the supervision of the Pharmacist and liaise with customers to establish their needs and sell appropriate products and services. You will work closely with other health professionals within the health centre, creating strong bonds and links in establishing patient focused care. You will also be required to establish relationships with patients, customers and healthcare professionals, assist with delivering a variety of pharmacy services where possible and be a predominant figure in the dispensary to ensure the smooth running of the Pharmacy.

Join our existing team to work a 5 days a week. Training courses will be provided.

Main Duties:

• Accurately assess and dispense medication according to the prescription
• Create labels which give information about the medicines and how to use them
• Order new stock using computerised systems
• Ensure good stock control
• Providing high levels of customer care
• Ensuring the required administration procedures are carried out, accurately and to meet agreed deadlines
• Ensure and maintain an efficient running pharmacy
• Any other duties assigned including general house keeping.

Answering simple, general telephone enquires from surgeries and patients. Selling to and advising customers on medicines and complimentary preparations, Stocking shelves, stock rotation, date checking and other pharmacy related duties

Hours: 20-30 per week or 37.5 hours
