Job description

The Poultry Farm Worker is responsible for helping manage the welfare of all the birds across the business. It therefore involves every task that running broiler units may reasonably entail, as well as following any and all reasonable instructions given by the Poultry Management.

Duties

At all times maintaining a high level of bird welfare is the most important duty of the job but specific requirements of the role will need you to:

· Check feed and water supplies as well as the shed environments throughout the day

· Remove deadstock

· Order and administer food when instructed by Poultry Manager

· Administer medication, vaccine and other sundries with the Poultry Manager

· Carry out shed and site maintenance

· Carry out the above tasks in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy

· Will require weekend and some evening / early morning work

· Report and/or assume full responsibility for the particular site that the management request you to on a day-by-day basis

· Carry alarms as and when required to do so

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
