Seize this opportunity with Hitachi Energy as a Pre -Sales Consultant within Enterprise Software Solutions team. You’ll be working with our Sales & Marketing team within (ESS) as a subject matter expert to influence software and service sales across UK, Ireland, Europe, Middle East and Africa. With in-depth research and knowledge of regional energy markets, combined with consultative business development techniques, you will be a credible, trusted Consultant to Customers. You’ll represent our award- winning service as a credible, trusted expert in your field. You’ll be supported by our technical IT support team as well as a wider team of business Consultants and Project Managers. You’ll be equipped with ongoing training to build on your proven expertise in the power utility/energy sector. As a Pre- Sales Consultant with Hitachi Energy , you will have the opportunity to use your energy and utility market expertise. Your responsibilities

• You’ll track and pursue leads to develop a pipe-line of qualified customer orders
• Effectively articulate and present technical information in both pre-and post-sales capacities across a variety of audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
• Contribute to sales and marketing activities including representing ESS at industry events and trade shows
• Work in collaboration with the wider sales team to create high calibre, value-focused client presentations and coordinate software demos.
• Assist in developing account and territory marketing and sales plans as part of the overall strategy
• Provide feedback and recommendations on market demands in EMEA for shaping product roadmap strategies
• Update and maintain customer data and other sales data as required in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, Operational Research, Technology, Management or related disciplines.
• 3 years + experience in the energy & utilities sector
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and the ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations (English language proficiency required).
• A solution focused entrepreneurial mind set
• Strong team player with a flexible approach and willing to support in other areas to achieve an end goal
• A proven track record (or demonstrated ability) of client engagement in the software sector, leading to successful pipeline and business growth
• Effective communication skills and fluent in both spoken and written English – beneficial if you are fluent in other language (s)
