We are seeking skilled Press Brake Operators to join our Forming Department team at JC Metalworks, an established and fast-growing metal fabrication company located in Loughborough, Leicestershire. We pride ourselves on our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which spans over 60,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest technology and equipment. Our clients range from large high-profile industrial companies to scientific equipment providers.

Our forming department includes four press brake machines from Amada & LVD, Salvagnini automatic panel bender and 2 partially automated Haeger insertion machines.

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for bending, forming and shaping metal pieces according to specifications, whilst ensuring the safety and efficiency of our production process. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of press brake operations and be able to work with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities:

• Ensure safety of yourself, the machine and the working environment.
• Operate a press brake machine to bend and shape metal pieces according to specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders.
• Set up and adjust the machine to ensure accurate and precise results.
• Perform routine maintenance on the machine.
• Monitor the quality of the finished product.
• Keep accurate records of production and report any issues to the supervisor.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a press brake operator in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of press brake operations and machine set up.
• Experience working with engineering drawings.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and routinely lifting parts.

The Press Brake Operator will be required to work a rotating schedule, alternating between the shifts of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm, unless they prefer to work the 2pm – 10pm shift permanently.
