The Role

We are a highly recognised public sector focused business whose mission is to always deliver a quality and seamless customer service. Accurate pricing is a key service deliverable and, as our new Pricing Analyst, you will be accountable for ensuring accurate pricing is applied to all energy supplies. You pride yourself on your attention to detail and ability to ensure data is correct. Due to the nature of the industry, achieving deadlines at a fast pace is imperative, so you will be methodical and organised in your approach to delivering work in a timely manner.

You have a keen interest and understanding of the energy industry, specifically in relation to pricing and you will be using this knowledge in your role daily. You enjoy working in a team and collaborating with others to drive and encourage innovation within the Pricing team.

This development will also mean you will be collaborating with external suppliers, internal stakeholders and showcasing ways to improve and optimise our customers’ experience with us.

The Pricing Analyst is accountable for delivering the pricing service, ensuring accurate pricing is applied to all supplies. They are accountable for delivering timely and accurate pricing for additions to contract and ensuring flexible price validation is carried out accurately, to support timely distribution to customers.

Key Duties

• Own the site/supply level pricing service delivery
• Ensure flexible pricing is accurate and in line with expected commodity and non-commodity charges.
• Ensure all pricing is in line with customer portfolio requirements.
• Own the pricing aspect of the site additions process.
• Identify risks, impacting the customer and/or LASER, and work closely with the Pricing Manager to manage and resolve.
• Collaborate with the Portfolio Assistants/Specialists to ensure that all required content is captured, enabling the successful delivery of a smooth pricing process.
• Carry out fixed term fixed price tenders in line with the agreed process and timescales.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and work with the Pricing Manager to scope and implement.
• Own the site level budget forecasting service.
• Carry out accurate and timely price forecasting, monitoring commodity and non-commodity costs to ensure accurate budget forecasts are delivered to customers.
• Build and maintain solid working relationships with suppliers. Challenge the status quo and work with the suppliers and investigate all possible solutions to obtain the best outcome for the Customer.
• Identify and put forward suggestions for process improvements across the team to improve the customer experience.
• Develop your knowledge and understanding of the Energy Industry and its processes to become an industry expert and develop through to a Senior Pricing Analyst.
• Provide support in the training of new and existing team members.
