Production Chargehand / Line Leader Supervisor – Oldham

Park Cakes is a c£180million business which supplies cake and desserts to service the own brands of major retailers.

Our products include, high end celebration cake products, slab cakes and mainstream desserts, we mostly supply Marks & Spencer’s although we also supply other major retailers.

We currently have a vacancy for a Chargehand on our Monday to Friday night shift, this position reports to a Section Manager and leads a team of operatives. Other responsibilities include: -

Example Accountabilities

• Lead and motivate a small team of operatives.
• Promote effective working relationships.
• Maintain company standards – Hygiene /GMP and quality.
• Responsible for ensuring all relevant paperwork is accurately completed.
• Report Health and Safety issues and follow up when required.
• Prepare and conduct regular audits.
• Ensure adequate skills are available and maintained.
• Must drive line efficiencies and continually improve waste.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as Charge hand or Leading hand in charge of a team of operatives.
• Highly flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment.
• Conscientious and pays attention to detail, familiarity with quality paperwork.
• Likes to be challenged and challenge others to have ‘right first time ‘approach.
• Willing to learn new tasks quickly.

Hours: 21:00 - 06:00 Monday to Thursday and 19:00-03:00 Friday

Flexibility around hours of work is required in order to accommodate business requirements as necessary.

Package:

• Salary for this position is £11.85 per hour
• 10% Night Shift Premium
• 28 days holiday a year which includes statutory holidays
• Pension scheme
