Production Operative

Role: Production Operative

Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

Salary: £10.50 per hour

Hours: 4-day work week, 10-hour shifts

XCL Group are currently recruiting for a Production Operative for a manufacturing client based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Main purpose of the role would be to ensure the correct materials are supplied to the correct areas in a timely manner.

Duties may include but not limited to:

• Operating manual and automated machinery
• Manual lifting
• Use of the FLT (Counterbalance and/or Flexi)
• Organising and ensuring goods are sorted in a timely manner in the correct areas and is accurately accounted for.
• Quality inspection of products
• To comply with 5S standards.
• Flexibility to work in all areas and assist team members
• Undergo additional training as and when required
• Abide to all health and safety standards at all times including wearing the correct PPE

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role as a Production Operative
• A Valid FLT (Counterbalance and / or Flexi)
• Ability to get to and from the company during unsociable hours
• Be involved with manual handling, some of which may be heavy products/ materials.

Preferred Skills

• Good English both verbally and written
• Organised
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Any relating qualifications/certificates
• Understanding of 5s
