Production Operator

Due to an increase in customer orders, Glendale Mouldings require production operators to work in our plastics injection moulding facility in Glenrothes.

We require operators to work a full working week, or offer flexibilty to work part-time hours (particularly pm/evening).

Normal working hours are: Early shift - working 6am - 2pm (Monday to Thursday) and 6am to 1pm (Friday), or Back shift - working 2pm - 12 midnight (Monday to Wednesday) and 2pm - 11pm (Thursday).

Please note in your application your preference for working hours.

Person Profile:

• Experience of working as Production Operator within manufacturing organisation, preferably including ‘Hygiene’ environment
• Experience of injection moulding or other plastic processing desirable, but not essential
• Capable of learning new skills quickly
• Numeracy and literacy skills are essential in order to accurately complete relevant paperwork
• Willing to contribute to a team-working philosophy

Key Tasks:

• Operate production machinery with due care and attention to quality of the parts
• Perform secondary operations to match desired cycle time
• Record production data correctly and accurately on production documentation
• Identify and report faults with production parts or machinery
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures
