Guala Closures UK Ltd is a fast-paced manufacturing and design Company who are a key supplier to the drinks industry. We are about to embark on an exciting transformation project that will see all three of our current sites move to a new, purpose-built facility in Gartcosh.

Alongside all this change activity we are committed to continuing to deliver our day job and provide our customers with high-quality products.

Due to an increase in demand, we are looking to recruit 6 permanent Production Operators. The key responsibilities of the role include:

Production Operator – Job Purpose:

To operate and run machinery in a safe manner in line with the departmental production plans, driving high standards in quality and process compliance.

Responsibilities:

· To ensure safe practices and behaviours are adopted in all instances

· Proactively flag any potential safety risks to reduce potential harm to others

· To maintain compliance with Food Safety operating guidance

· Set up, operate, and run machinery in line within the safe operating instructions

· Set up, operate, and run machinery in line with agreed production schedule

· Routine cleaning, troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery

· Follow and complete all documentation as required

· Carry out quality inspections as part of the process to maintain a high-quality product standard

· To take accountability for own work in terms of quality and output levels

· To support continuous improvement projects as required

· To work closely with other departments i.e., engineering to drive high production performance and plan adherence

· Liaise with and assist other colleagues in manufacturing as required

Knowledge Skills & Experience:

· Able to work in a safe manner and to a high standard in terms of housekeeping and quality

· Factory experience essential 1+ years’ experience in similar role in manufacturing environment operating automated equipment

· Sound literacy and numeracy skills

· Strong work ethic

· Able to work to a high level of accuracy

· Is a team player and flexible in their approach to work and change
