Production Team Leader

Tom Walker & Sons is an established BRC AA+ Accredited UK cheese distributor for Retail, Wholesale & Foodservice markets, specialising in cheese cutting and packing, contract packing and seasonal gift packing.

Main Purpose: The Team/Line Leader is responsible for the day to day running of production lines and completion of production tasks as allocated by the Production Manager or Senior Line Leader.

Working closely with relevant Tom Walker & Sons personnel, the Team Leader will ensure that all requirements are met to provide safe, superior quality food products in a timely manner, using available resources to most economic and productive effect.

The successful candidate will be expected:

• To maintain high standards of work and personal conduct at all times.
• To be able to effectively and efficiently run any production line in the company.
• To be able to communicate effectively and courteously to all levels of colleague.
• To be able to direct people effectively and efficiently making best use of their abilities.
• To have the flexibility to switch from line to line as the need arises
• To be able to recognise how improvements in technique or line leadership can improve productivity and/or profitability.
• To have the ability to play a part in the development and implementation of these improvements.

The hours of work for these roles will be a rolling full time shift rota of 4 days on and 4 days off, 6am to 6pm.

Salary: £11.00 per hour
