We are currently recruiting for a Public Area Cleaner at Fermain Valley Hotel in Guernsey.

Fermain Valley Hotel is a stunning 4 Star Hotel which has three stunning and modern style themed restaurants as well as 45 bedrooms.

About the role:

Are you an experienced Public Area Cleaner looking for a new role? Do you have an eye for detail that’s second to none?

At Fermain Valley Hotel we are looking for a Public Area Cleaner to join our hard working team and help keep our stunning hotel and bedrooms clean and looking beautiful.

As the Public Area Cleaner you will have responsibility for ensuring the Hotels guest areas and toilets are beautifully clean and kept sanitised on a regular basis to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests and team.

In this role there may also be times you are asked to assist with bedroom/bathroom cleaning, stripping or making beds or cleaning in other areas such as the spa, so we are looking for someone with a flexible attitude. As you will also regularly be cleaning in the public areas you will need to be well presented and have a friendly and polite approach when interacting with our guests.

Many members of our team enjoy the working hours Housekeeping offers as it involves day time shifts generally between the hours of 07:00am and 17:00pm with occasional earlier starts or later finishes. Based on 40 hours per week. Overtime will be paid.

About you:

• You’ll have previous experience cleaning or working in a similar manual role.
• You’ll feel comfortable working both alone and as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy environment.
• You’ll have an eye for detail noticing things others often don’t.
• You’ll take pride in delivering consistently high standards.
• Most of all, you’ll have a friendly, welcoming and helpful manner as our teams work together to ensure our guests are happy.
