Purchasing & Supply Chain Apprentice

Fold Hill Foods Ltd are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Purchasing & Supply Chain Apprentice. We are a leading Pet Food Manufacturing company committed to delivering excellence service to our customers. As an apprentice, you will receive comprehensive training and support to develop your skills and knowledge, in partnership with Boston College, whilst undertaking their Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3.

The apprenticeship program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a real work environment, allowing you to gain practical skills and knowledge in your chosen field. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, learning from their expertise and receiving guidance and support throughout your apprenticeship.

Reporting to the Materials & Planning Manager. The Purchasing & Supply Chain Apprentice will learn about and support the purchasing, planning and inventory functions within the supply chain team. You will also have the opportunity to support business projects and process improvements.

The main aspects of the role will be to:

· Monitor stock levels and customer orders

· Monitor adherence to plan

· Research prices and source new ingredients and packaging materials

· Deputise for the Demand & Production Planner

· Deputise for the MRP Co-Ordinator

· Review stock levels to reduce inventory and waste

· Liaise with customers and suppliers
