Description

Videndum Production Solutions designs, manufactures and distributes technically advanced products, giving broadcasters, film studios, video production companies and independent content creators confidence in the production equipment they depend upon to capture and share world class footage. They are looking for a Quality Engineering apprentice.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Learn to conduct non-destructive examination (NDE) and quality Assurance (QA) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at goods inwards and in process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards i.e. first off /Last off/FAIR etc.
  • Conduct product audits as deemed necessary.
  • Interface with other parts of the Organisation to resolve Goods Inwards and in process quality related issues
  • Maintains all relevant quality records and metrics.
  • Support quality improvement as defined by the Senior Quality Engineer
  • Learn analysis of facts to determine relevant corrective action
  • Supports containment activity as determined by internal or customer identified concerns in any part of the value stream
  • Carries out such other duties that may be reasonably requested
Entry requirements

Maths and English GCSE Grades 5-9 or A- C as a minimum.

Training to be provided
  • The learner will be studying the Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
  • Day release to West Suffolk College.
  • Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

  • SharePoint knowledge
  • 5S awareness · Knowledge of: angle plates, surface test m/c, rotary chucks, verniers & micrometers. · Knowledge of CMM operations, programming, engineering drawing & interpretation and geometric tolerancing
