Ramp Agent- TUI at Gatwick Airport

Optime Group in partnership with a well-known Ground Handling Company located at Gatwick Airport are looking to add to its growing team of Ramp Agents serving one of the UK's fastest growing airports.

PLEASE NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST HOLD A FULL VALID UK DRIVING LICENCE

What's on offer:

• Pay Rate: £11.77 per hour
• Shift Pattern: 4-on / 4-off nights (12-hour shifts), or 4-on / 2-off earlies (8-hour shifts).
• Shift Times: Must be available to start as early as 03:00am and finish as late as 00:00
• Location: London Gatwick Airport

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt and loaders.
• Safely lift, load, unload and transport baggage from aircraft to airport and Carry out aircraft inspections/area hazard checks
• This is a manual role; candidates will need to be physically fit and able to repetitively lift and move luggage up to 30KG in weight - It is important to know that there will be down time during your shift between arrivals or departures.
• Maintain on-time connections by guiding aircraft to and from gate positions
• Protect baggage and other equipment from damage, loss and weather conditions
• After full upskill training leading the pushback of the aircraft and communicating with the pilot through a headset.

Skills and Experience:

• Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence
• Good attention to detail
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
• Right to Work in the UK
• Five year fully checkable reference history
• Ability to pass Criminal Record Check (CRC)
