Receptionist (23 hours per week)

About the Role

• Greeting and directing all patients;
• Making appointments and giving out appointment cards, where required;
• Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.;
• Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints;
• Advising patients of practice procedures;
• Registering new patients;
• Answering the telephone, promptly.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare setting would be preferable but the main qualities we are looking for are a helpful, friendly personality, good communication skills, ability to learn processes quickly and accurately, and have the flexibility to cover at short notice.
