About the Role

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading or Havant.

Salary: £42,691 - £49,626 and a range of benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role of the IT Reporting Analyst is to support IT Cost centre managers with understanding the cost drivers in their cost centre and identifying cost savings opportunities working alongside the cost centre manager. They'll utilise the reporting provided by Group Finance, IT and the Apptio team to do this. They'll support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing end user support for Apptio, and ensuring the quality of IT inputs provided to Group Finance is high.

The role holder will need to work with the IT, Finance, and BU IT delivery functions to ensure that IT cost drivers are understood, acted on and reported on effectively.

This is a crucial function of the FMO team in IT, supporting a key objective held by the CIO to maintain like for like IT costs to an appropriate level. It's a highly visible role – this team is effectively "the face of the FMO".

Key Responsibilities:

• Support delivering spend insights for cost centre managers and delivery leads, including identifying and acting on cost saving opportunities.

• Present to BU IT colleagues their businesses consumption of IT Services via Apptio to help optimise recharges.

• Supporting Project Cost Accounting and reporting activities including spend against budget, forecast spend and cost variance analysis.

• Support the annual budgeting and roadmap process for IT including development and monitoring of existing and new processes, monthly reporting activities in accordance to financial calendar.

• Presenting cost saving initiatives to support IT function in achieving value for service.

• Enable IT to manage its cost base much more effectively, whilst championing a 'no surprises' change management culture.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

• Awareness in IT aspects of cost management, spend insights, and project reporting (capex / opex).

• Experience of setting up, managing, developing, and improving reporting and processes for successful change management and transformation.

• Independent thought, proactive investigation and analytical mindset are valuable attributes needed to be successful in this role. Organised and structured. Solution orientated, pragmatic, “can do” individual with experience of delivering through others. Excellent facilitation and communication skills (written and oral).

• Communication skills and stakeholder management are essential, as they'll be communicating at all levels within IT.

• Experience in using different tools, Excel, PowerBI, Oracle. Training can be provided for Apptio, but prior experience would be advantage.
