This is a vacancy for a Project Coordinator grade H / Project Officer grade I. The grade will be dependent on candidate experience.
The University of Bristol seeks to employ a 3-year Project Coordinator/Officer on the REPRESA project ‘REsilience and PReparedness to tropical cyclones across Southern Africa’ that is starting in April 2023. This work is funded by the CLARE programme. CLARE is a partnership between the FCDO and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). The project is co-led by the the Global Change Institute, University of the Witwatersrand, Bristol University and the Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique.
The REPRESA Project Coordinator/Officer will coordinate the project, ensuring it is well managed and delivered to a high standard. The role will develop and manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of REPRESA project outputs, proactively maintaining links including with key stakeholders in southern Africa.
Support staff in the project management of major project activities, including: day to day administration; management and delivery of work plans; monitoring of budgets; quality assurance (QA); communication and relationship management supporting project meetings and coordinating meetings.
The role requires a high degree of personal initiative and excellent communication skills. You will need to have previous experience in supporting or managing research projects.
