Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

As Resident Medical Officer, you’ll play a crucial role providing on call cover for Cygnet Hospital Blackheath and Cygnet Lodge Lewisham.

Based in South East London, Cygnet Hospital Blackheath provides inpatient low secure and PICU services for men with a mental health illness. Cygnet Lodge Lewisham is a specialist high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men.

You'll be covering out of hours on call (5pm - 9am), working 3 days one week, and 4 days the next with access to Consultant advice

On calls are completed from home but the post holder would be required to come into the service as needed, so the ability to travel is essential

We are looking for someone who is...

• Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
• An excellent clinical decision maker, with sound judgement, the ability to manage risk & know when to ask for help
• Preferably experienced in Psychiatry
• Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
• Committed to continued professional development
