Sales Assistant

At Sew Creative, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our team.

This role is for a Sales Assistant position so the main responsibilities are:

• Sewing up samples from dressmaking patterns.
• Delivering sales through friendly and efficient customer service.
• Offering well-informed advice and selling sewing machines to customers is a priority.
• Working in a team to run the social media for the shop.
• Assisting the Shop Manager with daily tasks, i.e. ordering stock for the shop, putting in windows.
• Measuring and cutting fabric for customers on a daily basis.
• Advising customers with their creative projects.
• Regularly answering the phone and emails to customers.
• Updating the website and fulfilling online orders
• Maintaining a tidy and presentable shop.

Role requirements:

• Must be able to sew.
• Must be friendly and confident when serving customers.
• Knowledge and experience of sewing with machines.
• Knowledge and experience of different kinds of sewing projects, i.e. dressmaking, quilting.
• Knowledge of different kinds of fabrics.
• Customer service/retail experience is highly desirable.
• Knitting/Crochet experience is desirable.
• Feel confident in using social media platforms, i.e. Instagram, Facebook.

This role is 4 days per week in the shop. Must be able to work Wednesday, Friday and Saturday - we are flexible with the fourth day.
