Seasonal Online Packing Assistant

The Tomato Stall is an exciting and growing food brand specialising in the supply of ‘Isle of Wight Tomatoes’ and producing a wide range of award-winning tomato-based products.

Based on the Isle of Wight, the business has a direct weekly reach into London and across the South via farmers markets, specialist retailers, restaurants, and a supply network across the whole of the UK with customers including Hello Fresh, Gousto, Mindful Chef, Ocado, Wholefoods, Southern Coop, Amazon Fresh & Planet Organic.

For over ten years we have been inspiring and educating our customers, maintaining our artisanal roots whilst taking our product range into an ever-increasing marketplace. During the past 18 months the business has expanded rapidly through new routes to market and the launch of our direct-to-consumer online platform where we offer our customers farm fresh products direct to their door, with an ever-growing range of recipe kits, subscription offers and more.

ONLINE PACKING ASSISTANT:

The Role:

As the Online Packing Assistant, you will work with the online team to pack our fresh tomatoes and our range of award-winning tomato products.

This new role will suit someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to work and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

In more detail:

• Helping us deliver a premium product and service to our online customers and ensuring the highest level of quality control and diligence in packing.
• Packaging of all orders to meet our packing standards in an efficient manner.
• Work within Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
• Stock control.

Knowledge, skills & experience required:

• Good hand – eye co-ordination.
• Must be able to work to deadlines.
• Works well in a team with a can-do attitude.
• Must be physically fit due to the nature of manual handling duties.
• Previous production experience advantageous, but not essential.
• Good reading ability to interpret order requirements.
• Demonstrates good time keeping.
• Able to take direction.
• Excellent personal hygiene.
• Passion for product and customer satisfaction.

Salary:

£ 10.42 per hour

Working Week:

Average weekly hours 32, Monday to Thursday. A degree of flexibility is required due to the nature of the business and there may be a requirement to work some additional Fridays.

Duration of work: Approximately April to November, to be discussed at interview.
