Security Team Manager

Do you already have the knowledge and understanding of working within security? Here atb Advanced, we are looking to strengthen our already established Security team by appointing a Security Team Manager at our Corby, Hunter’s Point site.

As Advanced continues to develop and grow year on year we are now looking for experienced individuals to help support our Security Manager across the South. You'll do this through helping them to manage the effectiveness and overall performance of your fellow security colleagues to ensure services that are provided meet our high customer standards. You’ll also play a part in making sure that our gatehouse is running smoothy, efficiently and effectively by keeping your team accountable for making sure the appropriate systems and logs are being completed and working correctly. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 45 hours days and nights at our Hunter’s Point site Corby, in return you will receive a competitive rate of £12 per hour, plus a generous benefits package!

Roles & Responsibilities of our Security Team Manager:

• Assisting with staff training, ensuring all security officers are competent in completing their duties

• Monitor Security team performance, maintain service and compliance levels

• Preparation and verification of timesheets / payroll details in a timely manner

• Checking of assignment logs, and recording of all relevant information to allow analysis to aid future planning and focussed contact with relevant departments to request action where required

• Assist with investigations, report writing, statement taking, interviewing staff, CCTV investigations etc

• Support the Security Manager with planning the guards work schedule, allowing for holidays, arranging cover shifts for sickness and unplanned days

• Support the management team as part of on call duty manager rota providing first point of contact availability for all security issues during weekends and public holidays

Skills & Experience of our Security Team Manager:

• Able to effectively lead and manage a team that the role holder does not have direct line management responsibility for

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with indirect management experience in a warehouse environment

• Must have a driving licence

• Has the credibility and influencing skills and strategies to be able to build buy-in to change
