Goldwell Manor has an outstanding opportunity for an already experienced Senior Care Assistant or for a Care Assistant with a strong background in care looking for that next step up

Our newly opened, spectacular care home in Chesterfield is currently seeking Senior Care Assistants to join us on this exciting new journey. Goldwell Manor is a purpose-built home, with the needs of the residents being the inspiration. With a pub for residents, private dining areas and landscaped gardens, this is set to be a glamourous, new home offering residential and specialist dementia support.

What you will receive as a Senior Care Assistant;

• £12.14 per hour
• Full-time, permanent contract
• 38.5 hours per week on a rolling 6-week rota
• 12 hours shifts, 3 on 3 off, 8am-8pm
• Based in Chesterfield, S40 4AA

What you will be doing as a Senior Care Assistant;

• Assist residents with the activities of daily living and personal care
• Supervise a team of carers, providing support and assistance where required
• Act as a role model for other care staff in respect of day-to-day activities
• Provide support at meal times
• Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
• Responsible for daily medication rounds, ensuring records are maintained
• Interacting with, and encouraging residents to socialise and take part in activities

What you will need to be successful as a Senior Care Assistant;

• Experience working within a caring environment
• Hold or be willing to work towards L3 in Health and Social Care
• The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcome and comfortable
• Supervisory and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire
• Willingness to develop new skills
