What about your role?

We have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join the Finance function. This is supporting a number of long standing open and closed book contracts within the technology sector.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include the following:

• Provide financial governance and support as a finance business partner.
• Identify, recommend and manage solutions to minimise financial and commercial risk and improve efficiency, profitability and cash flow.
• Ensure that changes to financial requirements are communicated and implemented promptly.
• Work with internal & external partners / customers to foster collaboration, networking & best practice.
• Align to the strategic direction of the business and the associated initiatives.
• Implement financial strategies, plans and targets to develop existing & new business.
• Ensure that robust financial solutions are implemented and monitored to optimise profit and minimise associated risk.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, models, budgets and forecast working with other stakeholders (eg. operations, HR, IT, etc.) to ensure profit optimisation & risk mitigation.
• Manage improvement programmes to aid business efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure financial governance and ethical standards are maintained and communicated.
• Manage financial (& business) reporting & forecasting to aid decision making and monitor progress.
• Manage and develop financial expertise in the business enabling financial best practice.
• Actively manage, develop and motivate Finance team.
• Manage and support own & others career development and succession agenda.

What are the requirements?

• Proven track record in a similar level role with experience of the above requirements
• Ability to influence key decision makers at all levels
• Excellent knowledge of accounting processes and terminology
• People management experience and excellent communication skills
• Hold relevant financial qualifications (ACCA / CIMA etc.), or be training towards them
