SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT ( NVQ2 & NVQ3 are mandatory)

Nursing Home in Hove, Brighton area

  • Day roles available, 36 hours per week

Our care home:

As Care Assistant you will be working as part of a focused, skilled team of fully supported staff who have our resident’s wellbeing at the core of all they do.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing the highest standards of person-centred care to our resident's whilst maintaining dignity, respect and wellbeing.

Care Centre employs a talented team of staff who offer care accommodation for a wide range of personal needs, including residential and nursing care, respite, mental health and dementia care.

A purpose-built and modern facility, the Links has an eighty-five person capacity and makes a valued contribution to the Bradford care sector.

Residents enjoy the use of a sensory room, a selection of lounges and dining areas, and a private courtyard, while GPs and other health professionals regularly visit the home.

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • Naturally compassionate with a caring disposition
  • Effective written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role is mandatory
  • Genuine interest in elderly people and their well-being.
  • Ability to adapt to the systems already in place.
  • Calm and positive attitude.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible.

Daily tasks may include:

  • Helping service users to undertake personal tasks, including washing, showering, and using the toilet
  • Serving food and helping them to eat if needed
  • Changing sheets and making beds
  • Using equipment to lift and move service users
  • Talking/listening to service users to ease loneliness
  • Recording information in care plans regarding the service users
  • Support the individual needs and requirements Working as a team with existing staff, seniors, deputy manager and manager.

Employment requirements:

Provision of two references, one from current or most recent employer and one character.
Satisfactory DBS check
