Service Engineer - part time

£28,000 - £32,000 pa pro rata. This position is part time, working 2-3 days per week on a 2-year contract in Warrington close to the M62.

Our client, is one of the leading specialist UK 'Process Weighing’ companies, is looking for an experienced Service Engineer who enjoys maintaining and fixing things! The role will suit an already field-based Site/Service Engineer, even a semi-retired person, looking to cover less ground or even an internally based person who wants to now work out in the field.

What we need from you as a Service Engineer:

• You will need to be situated in or around the area of Warrington
• Good practical electrical and mechanical knowledge and demonstrable skill set
• A current valid driving licence
• A flexible attitude to work
• Adaptability, initiative, self-motivated, disciplined, and self-reliant in the role as, effectively, an ambassador of the company during working hours
• Can complete all paperwork needed by the job role on time
• Some software and/or electronics knowledge would also be beneficial

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Initially, carrying out routine servicing of dynamic check weigh and standard scale systems along with general maintenance tasks associated with the machines
• Manual handling of test weights for calibration purposes, for loading platform weigh-scales and check weighers mostly small capacity
• Liaison with our skilled and experienced engineering team in a competent and professional manner

Salary: £28,000 to £32,000pa, depending on experience and skill level. Pro-rata. Hours of work: 2-3 days per week - 8.30am-4.30pm. 2 days initially at the Warrington site with potentially a 3rd day at another site.
