Industrial Doors Service Engineer - Stoke on Trent

Role summary:

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional, engaged and open minded individual to join a team of dedicated Service Engineers offering a complete range of door services to our customers.

Responsibilities and challenges:

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance and other service activities on our range of products. This requires you to follow logical and systematic steps to diagnose any potential or existing faults
• Recommend improvements to the customer and provide quotations on prospective work such as; replacement of wear and tear parts to avoid breakdowns between service visits, upgrade’s to improve functionality and the benefits of a 24/7 service agreement with the Company
• Work closely with the sales department so that potential sales leads can be captured

• As a field based employee you will be responsible, reliable, punctual and trustworthy. You will represent the company in a professional and supportive manner, developing positive working relationships with our customers as well as co-workers.
• We are looking for a results orientated individual and show initiative to problem solve and come up with new ways of working. You will be eager to learn and develop new skills both technical and sales related when opportunities arise.
• Electrical and mechanical qualification is required for this role as well as good IT skills due to the increase use of tablets for reporting and checks.
• Ideally you will be from the Industrial Doors and Docking industry, however candidates who can demonstrate good transferable skills will be considered.
• As our Service Engineers are the face of ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems to our customers, we are looking for someone who communicates well and confidently to represent us.
