SHE Advisor

We have an opportunity for a SHE Advisor to join our Wates Property Services team supporting the London and South East region. The focus of this role is to provide professional SHE support, advice and coaching at regional business level; engaging with Project Teams, Ops Directors and supply chain peers to ensure that the business SHE policy is promoted and effectively deployed.

Key Accountabilities will also include:

• Assist in the maintenance of the Company’s SHE Management System and associated documentation
• Assist and support Directors, Managers/Department Heads and Supervisors in their task of implementing the Company SHE Policy.
• Visit/inspect sites, offices and associated plant in order monitor the safety and environmental performance of Wates Property Services and Investigate; giving guidance upon any hazardous practices or operations; exercising in relevant situations the power to cease all further work by Wates Property Services and its sub-contract employees until adequate remedial action has been taken.

• Review absence due to accident or injury at work and ensure that reportable occurrences are notified to the relevant enforcing authority.

We are looking for you to have previous Building Services or Maintenance experience on a range of large scale projects, and to be NEBOSH General or Construction certificate, to demonstrate a basic level of the required safety knowledge, along with knowledge of PASMA, IPAF, asbestos, and other general construction equipment, systems, activities and associated legislation

To be successful in the role you will be an excellent communicator with good coaching skills and highly developed influencing skills.
