JOB DESCRIPTION: SHOP ASSISTANT

Location: West Bromwich/Bromsgrove

Exciting opportunities to join our super-ambitious retail team that's passionate about vaping! There at Captains Vape we are looking for a full time retail sales assistant to work an average of 40 hours per week including weekends with the potential of overtime. Our goal at Captains Vape is to provide our customers with an unbeatable retail experience. We have a wide range of premium quality e-liquid and hardware with staff that are passionate, enthusiastic and helpful shop assistants. Captains Vape prides itself on team work, therefore a strong attitude to team work is essential.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Serving customers in the shop - giving competent advice, ensuring that recommended products are compatible with customers’ existing devices & that items sold suit the customer’s needs.
• Giving detailed explanations and demonstrations of how our products work for new customers. Setting up of new devices if required.
• Opening and closing of the till dependent on your shift.
• Checking that the customer has the correct items and accurately completing monetary transactions.
• Offering alternatives where appropriate, to fulfil customer needs.
• Ensuring stock rotation and maintenance of the shop displays – topping up juices as and when required and moving juices around the shop to maximise the retail experience.
• Adherence to company processes and procedures.
• Process returns as required in line with company procedures.
• Housekeeping, ensuring that all areas, both in the store and communal colleague areas are clean and adhere to clear floor policy and Health and Safety requirements.
• Keeping the cabinet displays clean, well presented.
• Maintenance of tester devices and sample tanks.

As an individual, you will possess the following Key attributes:

· Understands the Vaping industry

· Has experience of dealing with people from a wide range of backgrounds

· Understands the importance of good presentation and keeping things tidy and well-organised

· Takes pride in their appearance

· Is eager to be trained up on new products

· A real passion for sales and achieving targets

· Excellent communication skills

This position is full time. Working hours may vary. Rota's will be decided by the management team to suit each branch.
