Site Engineer - York - Ongoing Work - start June / July

Our client require an experienced site engineer on their large construction project on the fringes of York city centre.

Looking to start the successful candidate late June / early July, the project runs for approximately 2 years with around 18 months worth of setting out to do.

Unusually for a project in this location in addition to convenient transport links, there is free on site parking.

Applicants with their own equipment are welcomed, although the client are able to provide all their kit for use thereby eliminating the need to transport equipment back and forth, as well as keeping costs in check

You will be responsible for setting out and quality control to ensure the client's activities are delivered correctly and safely with drawings and specifications, in accordance with the client's Health and Safety policy - Boundaries, Deep Drainage, Piles.

Essential Requirements:

• Have previous setting out (Total Stations, GPS) and quality control experience in the delivery of construction projects
• A solid understanding of AutoCAD.
• A "can do" attitude to the management of health, safety, environment and associated quality processes.
• CSCS, SMSTS, Degree Qualified
• Experience of temporary works desired, although not as far as being trained in a Supervisory or Co-Ordinator capacity.
