Site Maintenance Assistant

About the role

Booker Group are recruiting for a Site Maintenance Assistant to work in our head office in Wellingborough. In this varied and interesting role you will work within a small and friendly team to support the business. Key duties in this role are the maintenance and repair of the office building and site. As well as post room duties.

This role is a physical role which involves being on your feet most of the day coupled with heavy lifting so you need to be physically fit with the ability to get stuck in to any tasks required.

Weekly working hours are 35 per week Monday to Friday with half an hour unpaid lunch break each day.

Initial hours will be 9.00am to 4.30pm whilst training, once fully trained you will move to the following shift pattern on rotation:

8.30am to 4.00pm

9.00am to 4.30pm

9.30am to 5.00pm

You will be responsible for

General building and site maintenance for the office building, gardens and car park
Undertaking minor repairs as required
Rubbish collections and vending replenishment
Health and Safety checks
Support fire testing
Post collection and distribution
Ad hoc duties as required

You will need

Good knowledge and experience of DIY
Basic knowledge of building maintenance
Down to earth and level headed with a can do attitude
To be flexible in your approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Great customer service skills
Good communication skills
Literacy and numeracy skills
