Social Media and PR Coordinator

Bread Source Artisan Bakery is seeking a part-time Social Media and PR Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and growing our social media platforms, submitting Bakery Award Applications, and actioning publicity opportunities. In addition, the Social Media and PR Coordinator will be responsible for other reasonable business responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute social media content and strategy across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok etc.)
• Monitor social media platforms and respond to customer inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner
• Identify and track relevant social media metrics to ensure continuous growth and improvement
• Submit bakery award applications and coordinate necessary follow-up communications
• Identify and action publicity opportunities, such as interviews, events, and other promotional activities
• Develop and maintain relationships with local media outlets, influencers, and other relevant parties
• Monitor industry trends and suggest creative ways to stay ahead of the competition
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure consistency in messaging and branding
• Other reasonable business responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience in social media and PR, preferably in the food and beverage industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple projects
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Passion for the food and beverage industry and a desire to continuously learn and improve
